Information about what holidaymaker will need for an app surface to allow holiday booking logins using the ParcVu PMS
For end users to be able to add their booking to the app after they have downloaded we will require access to your ParcVu account via their API.
To do this we required 5 things :
These are often supplied by ParcVu themselves if you are not familiar with them already. If you do not know them, you can request them from ParcVu support.
They would often look something like this :
You may however have a custom instance of ParcVu so these urls may differ than the examples above.
You will need to create us a ParcVu user and supply us with the username and password for this. This user must have the following permissions for these credentials to get API access:
We will never login to your ParcVu system – this username and password is setup by you, and then used programmatically via our system to communicate with the ParcVu API. You will need to change the password and setup the user when required
By providing us with these details you are accepting that we are a Data Processor of your user data. You can get more information about this from our projects and implementations team. However you must update your privacy policies that the app records would see accordingly, and also you must ensure that the supplied password is deemed safe to gain access to user data, and potential business data.
The server that hosts your instance of HM Core will need to have it’s IP address white listed with ParcVu in order for communication to happen. You would need to contact ParcVu support to do this. An example IP Address is 123.123.123.123 and this will be provided by the holidaymaker team when your CMS is setup before you need to request the ParcVu access.
You can find the HM Core server IP address using the tool in Parc.Vu plugin developer settings page in the CMS as seen in this screenshot.
