Data Management

There are 3 ways of managing data for your holidaymaker™ app and seeview display surfaces :

• Standard holidaymaker™ data from a hosted portal or web surface normally developed by Key.Digital
• Send holidaymaker™ formatted data to our infrastructure from your own website/s – or we can periodically pull this
• We can periodically pull other structured data (eg wp-json feeds) and process this to create the holidaymaker™ formatted data for you : Note that this option will require development costs, and can also create less rich data, based on what is available

Last Change Time

Our main data packets include a lastChange epoch time. This is used by our web infrastructure and app surfaces to ensure large data packets are only downloaded when data has actually changed.

If you are choosing to send data (or ask us to pull it), you can include this yourself, so our systems will then respect your declared last change in the same way. If not then on each periodic push or pull of data we will invalidate this time. It is not normally a problem as our data refreshes would typically be every 60 minutes or longer, however if you know the data is rarely changed, then you are welcome to let us know so we are triggering the download of the same data to peoples apps/devices.
