When the temperature drops, many holiday parks see revenue dip through autumn and winter. It does not have to be that way. With the right tools and plans, you can keep your park busy through the colder months.

Here is where your Holidaymaker app can help.

Personalised marketing

With your guest data to hand, you can make offers and promotions that fit the people receiving them. Holidaymaker’s Direct to Guest Marketing lets you target groups by booking, stay type or behaviour.

For autumn and winter, think about special packages that highlight cosy lodge stays, festive events or seasonal discounts. Share them in your app, and on your own email and social channels, to catch people looking for an autumn or winter getaway.

Timely updates

Autumn and winter weather can be unpredictable. Your app can send guests timely updates, such as weather warnings, closures, event changes or changes to park hours. Guests appreciate being kept informed, and it builds trust and keeps their stay safe and smooth, even when the weather is not ideal.

A note on push notifications. Push notifications in the Holidaymaker app are for informing and looking after guests, not for selling to them. You cannot currently send discounts, offers, re-booking prompts or upsell promotions as push notifications. Put your seasonal offers in the app’s offers and events sections, and in your own email and social channels, and keep push for weather, site notices and event details.

Holiday home sales

If your park sells holiday homes, the off-season is a good time to keep them in front of guests. Home Sales gives your listings and enquiries their own sections in the app, and lead capture forms can connect to your CRM. Seeview displays in your sales office can show available homes too. That gives you a way to bring in income outside the main season.

Event promotion

Autumn and winter are busy for seasonal events and activities. Share event details, times and special offers in your app, so guests can plan their stay and spend more on site.

Guest engagement

Talking to guests does not end when they book. Holidaymaker helps you keep in touch before, during and after their visit.

Before they arrive, promote activities and events to build excitement. While they are on park, share event times and offers, and show your holiday homes for sale. After they leave, ask for feedback through the app so you can improve future stays. Over time that builds a lasting relationship that supports repeat bookings and referrals.

Do not let autumn and winter be the slow season. Personalised offers, timely updates, holiday home sales, events and guest engagement can all help you keep your venue busy all year.
